SHIELD’S BIG (WIG) CHALLENGE

On Monday 8th November we attended a presentation evening at Sue Ryder Cares Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough where the final totals for the 2010 Big Wigs challenge were announced. 

In total over £16,000 was raised by this year’s Big Wigs which will fund the running of a hospice for three days.

Shield Technologies contribution towards this total was an amazing £5155.50; hosting an event at the Orton Hall Hotel showing the first England game of the World Cup campaign followed by an auction of items provided by customers and suppliers alike.

During the presentation evening a number of awards were also presented, Shield were awarded the runner up Entrepreneur of the Year award along with the Outstanding Individual award.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who were involved in the fund raising effort including everyone who attended the event, provided auction items and those who helped with printing and equipment and a special thanks to Langford Smith our auctioneer for the evening.
